Promoting Traditional Indian Sports
The Olympian Laxmikant Pandey Trust organized the Uttar Pradesh Kesari (Men & Women) and Kumar/Kumari Wrestling Competition 2023 with the aim of promoting traditional Indian sports, encouraging youth participation and nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from wrestlers across Uttar Pradesh and brought together sports persons, dignitaries, coaches and members of the community to celebrate the spirit of wrestling and the values of discipline, fitness and sportsmanship.
The competition featured multiple weight categories for men, women and young wrestlers (Kumar/Kumari). Winners were felicitated with trophies, certificates and cash prizes, while all participants received recognition for their dedication.
